International Conference On Unmanned Aircraft Systems 2023 – Call for Papers

International Conference On Unmanned Aircraft Systems 2023 (ICUAS ’23)

June 6 – 9, 2023

Lazarski University, Warsaw, Poland

The 2023 International Conference on Unmanned Aircraft Systems, ICUAS ’23, is organised for the first time on a university campus. It will take place on 6-9 June 2023, in Warsaw, Poland, at Lazarski University. ICUAS ’23 offersunique opportunities to meet, interact and shape the future of unmanned aviation worldwide, bringing together the technical, regulatory, and legal communities.

The central theme of ICUAS ’23 is threefold:

  1. reconfigurable aerial platforms;
  2. multi-purpose/hybrid aerial platforms;
  3. regulations and standards for autonomy.

National and international organisations, agencies, industry, and authorities work towards defining roadmaps of Unmanned Aircraft Systems/Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (UAS/RPAS) expectations, technical requirements and standards, that are prerequisites to their full utilisation and integration into the national airspace. The next generation of UAS/RPAS will be used for a wide spectrum of civilian and public domain applications.

 ICUAS ’23 aims to bring together different groups of qualified representatives worldwide, funding agencies, industry, academia, end-users and practitioners to discuss the current state of unmanned aviation, and the roadmap to their fullutilisation in civilian and public domains. Special emphasis will be given to research opportunities, and to ‘what comes next’ in terms of the tools, essential and support technologies, law and standards, which need to be utilised and implemented to advance the state-of-the-art nature of UAS.

Important Dates:

  • 15 January 2023: Full Papers / Invited Sessions / Tutorial Proposals Due
  • 1 February 2023: UAS Competition: simulation-based scenario
  • 31 March 2023: Acceptance / Rejection Notification
  • 31 March – 20 April 2023: Early Registration
  • 20 April 2023: Upload Final, Camera Ready Papers

All papers must be submitted electronically through by the due date. Details about the technical conference, paper submission, page layout and paper format may be found at and related links. Papers of a legal nature are encouraged.

The conference is fully sponsored by the ICUAS Association, Inc.,, and it is technically cosponsored by the IEEE Control Systems Society, the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, and the Mediterranean Control Association.
